A U.N. space expedition to the planet Uranus discovers a bizarre world right out of their own heads, featuring places and people the crew members recall from childhood. It is the year! 2001 and most of the solar system has been explored by spacemen with the exception of the seventh planet from the sun, Uranus. The United Nations sends a five-man international team to check Uranus out. There, they are confronted by the "Being," whose mysterious brain cuts to the inner thoughts of the explorers and causes their thoughts to appear as mirages. Uranus is soon filled with a bevy of beautiful girls thought up by the spacemen. to go along with some quicksand, a one-eyed rodent and a really mean giant centipede. In the year 2001, the United Nations sends a crew to the planet Uranus for an exploratory mission. However, instead of finding a cold gaseous world, the crew find a temperate green world with forests. They also encounter several women who they knew back on Earth. Upon further investigation they find out that the plant life is artificial as well as a barrier that the! y discover leads to the true Uranus. They eventually find out ! that the illusion was created by a higher intelligence who was using them as guinea pigs to not only find out their desires but their fears as well in order to plan for an invasion of Earth.
